[Ref] Susanna, the daughter of John and Matilda (Abell) Dixon was born in 1845. [Ref] She died of consumption on 9 Aug 1879 and is buried in the Saint Stephen Catholic cemetery. [Ref] The census says James's wife was name Ann and she was born about 1845 in Kentucky. [Ref] James married second Elizabeth Estelle Freeman on 15 Aug 1882. Elizabeth, the daughter of Walter and Sarah (Short) Freeman, was born in 1860, died on 2 Dec 1917 and is buried in the Saint Stephen Catholic Cemetery. [Ref]
In 1870 James was living in Jefferson, Monroe, Missouri with his wife and son. [Ref] He was a farmer with a personal estate of $500. [Ref]
